Pallet Flow allows pallets to move from back to front (similar to push back) and, as they are picked from the rack, the next in line acquires the previous pallet’s position. The largest difference between push back and pallet flow is the pallet is loaded from the back and picked from the front utilizing a FIFO (first in, first out) method.
Pallet flow rack can be added on to most existing pallet rack systems. The flow rails are mounted on top of the existing rack beams at a slight incline. The rail lanes typically have a built-in braking system to allow the pallets to move at an easy smooth pace.
